WHY WE HAD TO BUY HIM

Due to our vast array of contacts and networks we went to the Arqana Sale in France armed with information that was worth its wait in Gold. With a 180 lots offered we had one of Europe's leading riders - ride for us over 100 lots catologued in the sale and needless to say that information is priceless. After reviewing Xrays and examing scopes we where left with 5 possible horses the rider thought could go on and be Group performed or better

With a proven formula over the last 5 years of trading these horses with good success , this year we decided to up our sights and buy the most likely prospect to succeed in AUSTRALIA.

Of the Top x 5 horses on our list it was decided that LOT 41 was by far the suitable candidate, as he has the profile of a 1600m – 2000m horse, as opposed to the other Sprinting types.

Our rider reported that he has lovely big action, amazing ‘quicken up speed’ and a huge set of lungs, amazing recovery.

He was ridden in IRELAND before the sale, and worked with a 95 rater , sat off him and when asked worked up beside and went straight past him like a ‘good horse’

We could not be more confidant based on this Intel, and on inspection he is lovely physical. Well balanced , great attitude and plenty of scope.

We were able to secure him for a pittance of what he would make if he were to go to the races and win in Europe.

The underbidder Joseph Obrien made a strong case to leave him there but we elected to get him down under on the next shipment

The Plan :

He will head straight into the Ciaron Maher system and will be seen racing this side of Xmas, and hopefully set for a QLD Winter carnival prep the following winter.

Like RUSSIAN CAMELOT, the Northern Hemisphere bred 2yo are superior when talking QLD and ADL Derbies
