Weekend Runners 🐎
Good luck to all our owners, trainers and jockeys heading into a busy weekend of racing. We’ve got a strong team stepping out across the country, and we’re looking forward to seeing how they perform. Here’s a quick look at where they’re running and what to expect 👇
📍Eagle Farm
Race 6 – 2.03pm – Rising Pacific
He is in sensational form winning 4 of his last 5 but this is a big class rise and the inside gate is not ideal as is Back in trip is tricky. EW confidence is 6/10
📍Flemington
Race 1 – 11.55am – Golden Crusader
Small but good field here but he should lead as he likes and he gets young gun Logan Bates in the saddle – his a good each way chance here at big odds – albeit these small fields are tricky for leaders. EW confidence 5/10
📍Gold Coast
Race 2 – 1.09pm – Lune D’excellence
She is a nice staying filly who probably is looking for further but racing here chasing the big QTIS money and the firmer ground – She is a winning chance – but EW confidence is 7/10
📍Randwick
Race 7 – 2.30pm – Royal Supremacy
Arguably could have won the Scone Cup where he was good on Australian debut – he has a very average barrier here and maybe is looking for further but a good run this grade is expected – EW confidence is 6/10 and would have been 9 out of 10 had he drawn better. No one riding better than Dylan Gibbons so that will help also
📍Eagle Farm
Race 8 – 3.13pm – Real Class
Gets “soft hands of Andrew Mallyon” in an effort to get her to relax – A Group 2 winner she has been her worst enemy in Australia pulling and over racing. It’s the first time she has had a low barrier and if she can go to sleep she is the horse that could win at 100/1. Each way confidence is 4/10 but the big key here is she is definitely good enough – the caveat being if she behaves
📍Eagle Farm
Race 10 – 4.28pm – Infancy
If you want the inside word off the training track then you can bet and bet big based on her work – the big issue is the barrier – I feel it’s cruelled her chances but she is going well – for me each way confidence is 5/10
📍Flemington
Race 9 – 4.34pm – True To Form
Moves south chasing the firmer ground – but finds a very deep 1200m straight race. He really wants 1400-1600m so not today – EW confidence 4/10
