Here are our thoughts on this weekend's runners for Saturday, 20th June 2026.

It's been a big week with the Royal Ascot success and this weekend we're hoping to keep the ball rolling with a few winners. As a good friend of mine says "The good Lord gave us optimism because He knew the facts would be disappointing." Hopefully, the facts are a little kinder to us today!

**11:20 pm – Race 2 – Newcastle – Poshy's Girl**

A super consistent mare, but the top two in the form guide look a class above. The home track is a plus and we know she'll try harder than an ugly stripper looking for rent money.a 1 x 3 play Each-way confidence: 5/10.

**11:35 pm – Race 2 – Rosehill – Whateley**

He's been unlucky this preparation and can be forgiven for his last start where he simply hated the bog track. Drawn to roll forward and, on a day where it may be hard to make ground, he represents terrific value. Backing him requires a little more faith than a blind man judging a painting, but the ability is there. Each-way confidence: 5/10.

**11:55 pm – Race 3 – Newcastle – Agraffe Rocket**

One of four genuine winning chances, but the price is poison. He's back in grade, back on his home track and can certainly win. The odds are tighter than bark on a tree, so you're not stealing one here. Win confidence: 6/10.

**1:20 pm – Race 5 – Sydney – Miss Busslinger**

A wholehearted mare who always gives her best, but I'm not convinced she's going quite well enough to feature today. The map doesn't help either. She'll need more favours than a one-legged man in an arse-kicking contest. Each-way confidence: 2/10.

**3:15 pm – Race 8 – Rosehill – Zaphod**

Looks our best of the day. The inside draw is ideal and as long as the track stays Slow and doesn't slip into Heavy, he's right in his wheelhouse. He's in terrific form. I'd be more nervous than a pregnant nun if the rain kept coming though, but if it doesn't, he's the one to beat. Win confidence: 8/10.

**3:23 pm – Race 7 – Eagle Farm – Rising Pacific – $18**

Realistically, the top two in the form guide deserve to dominate the betting, but if there's one capable of blowing up the exotics, it's Rising Pacific. He's still improving and some of his older form stacks up very well. Backing him takes a bit of courage — like ordering seafood at a servo — but stranger things have happened. Each-way confidence: 5/10.

**3:39 pm – Race 8 – Gatton – Barazin**

Top weight isn't ideal, but his last-start run is certainly good enough to win this. He'll get back, and around Gatton that's not exactly a recipe for success. He'll need a ride smoother than gravy on mashed potatoes. Expect him to hit the line hard. Each-way confidence: 5/10.

**3:58 pm – Race 8 – Eagle Farm – Infancy – $61**

I simply cannot believe the price. If you like backing roughies, have something on her. This is comfortably the easiest race she's found this preparation and she's absolutely flying. This isn't a Group 1 by any stretch. Splash Back is the one to beat from Manaal, but Infancy will run a terrific race. A $1 by 2 play. Each-way confidence: 5/10.

**4:35 pm – Race 9 – Eagle Farm – Pereille – $12**

He never runs a bad race and he's rarely beaten far. The issue is he's only got a short, sharp sprint over the final 200 metres, so these big fields don't really suit because he'll settle back. He's got more excuses than a teenager explaining why the bins didn't go out... but he's also got more ability than most of these. Don't leave him out. Each-way confidence: 6/10.

**5:34 pm – Race 7 – Darwin – Stormfront**

Back to a suitable distance, but he does meet some of the Northern Territory's better horses. He'll have to be tougher than a $2 steak, but he's capable of giving a sight. Each-way confidence: 5/10.

Good luck to all our Connections, Jockeys and Trainers.
