Welcome to your daily runners update from Australian Bloodstock.

**11.05am – Race 1 – Rosehill – The Extreme Cat**

His last two have been disappointing, but nothing has gone his way. He's drawn another horror gate, needs 1400m, and this looks too short.

"Whilst he's got more excuses than a bloke caught at the pub by his wife at 11 o'clock on a Tuesday."

He's capable, but everything needs to fall into place.

Each-way confidence: 2/10

**1.50pm – Race 4 – Gold Coast – Twoexcel**

She's done a terrific job winning her maiden in provincial grade, but this is a much stronger race with genuine depth.

This looks about as easy as wrestling a crocodile while wearing thongs.

She'll need to improve significantly.

Each-way confidence: 2/10

**3.00pm – Wyong – Race 6 – Written Scandal**

This filly has genuine ability, but she's tested the patience levels of a saint.

Thankfully she drops sharply in grade, maps beautifully and finally gets conditions to suit.

As my grandfather used to say, "Even a broken clock is right twice a day." Hopefully, today's one of those days.

The price looks fair.

Win confidence: 6.5/10

**3.15pm – Rosehill – Race 8 – Midnight Opal**

Looks a terrific each-way play.

The only concern is his recent habit of missing the kick. Hopefully, the senior rider can sort that out because once he finds his rhythm, he's more than capable of figuring in the finish.

Let's just hope he jumps better than my motivation on a Monday morning.

Each-way confidence: 6/10

**3.15pm – Rosehill – Race 8 – Smashing Time**

He is about as reliable as a public bathroom.

Yes, he's won his last two, but he had absolutely everything go his way. Every gap appeared, every split opened, and every traffic light turned green.

To borrow another country saying...

"If you keep throwing enough mud at the wall, eventually some of it sticks."

For me, the current price is poison.

He can win, but if I'm taking short odds, I'd rather back my wife to admit I was right.

TAB Lay of the Day!

Win confidence: 4/10

**4.30pm – Rosehill – Race 10 – Silvanito**

He's flying this preparation.

Everything comes down to whether the inside is off. If the fence is okay, he's right in the race. If it's quicksand, we're probably cooked before they straighten.

On the price and the market, I'd suggest it could turn quicker than a politician before an election, depending on the day's pattern.

He doesn't win out of turn, but he's racing well enough to be very competitive.

Each-way confidence: 7/10

**Final Thoughts**

We've got a few that look to be up against it early, but Written Scandal, Midnight Opal, and Silvanito look the best chances of the day.

Hopefully, we're cheering louder than the bloke who backed a 100-1 winner... and not explaining to the wife why the grocery money somehow ended up in the TAB account.

Good luck everyone, and remember...

Bet with your head, not your heart. The mortgage company has absolutely no interest in your "good thing." 🍻

A big good luck to all the Connections, Jockeys, and Trainers today.
