Here are this weekend's runners for Australian Bloodstock.
Find below Luke's preview of all the Australian Bloodstock Runners for Saturday—some great value to be had in the selections for those looking for some roughies.
**Hawkesbury Race 2 - 11:55 PM - Whately - $17**
Gets a horrible barrier so has to snag and go to last. His run was very good last start and quite hidden, so if they can run on here, expect him to run out of his skin. Each-way confidence is 5/10 in a race with many hopes. **Hardest to Beat:** Olympian **Best Roughie:** Aristocrat
**Newcastle - Race 2 - 12:50 PM - Alnair - $26**
This filly has talent, but she is a staying filly and she will need this run after having a setback and hurting herself a few weeks ago. No expectations. The map and barrier look to be no good either. Each-way confidence is 3/10. **Hardest to beat:** Cosmic Eagle **Best Roughie:** Balmoral Castle
**Hawkesbury Race 4 - 1:05 PM - Mornington Pier - $14**
1800m will suit, and he gets back, so we need to make sure they can make ground here. On my ratings, I have 2 lengths between 8 horses, and whilst he is one of them, his get-back style means he needs luck. To be fair, the horse is really going well, so he will run well here. Each-way confidence is dulled a little with so many chances, so 5/10. **Hardest to beat:** Scarify **Best Roughie:** Centenario
**Eagle Farm - Race 4 - 1:48 PM - Don Diego De Vega - $34/$7**
Resumes here after getting TORCHED last start, and this is the easiest race he has seen for a while. The map is a bit tricky, but if he gets in, he looks to have a fantastic chance, and this is the best value horse you will find all day. He is a live winning chance here, and the $34 is just plainly wrong. Each-way confidence is 7/10. Must play! **Hardest to beat:** Jenni Moresse **Other best roughie:** Nellie Layax
**Newcastle Race 4 - 2:00 PM - Kharif - $11**
A big, raw horse who has shown he wants a fast tempo. A wide-open race here, so he might find a few too good at the Set weights. Each-way confidence is 5/10. **Hardest to beat:** Dance with Destiny **Best Roughie:** Pharoah Queen
**Morphettville - Race 8 - 4:35 PM - GROUP 1 - Accidental Bid - Current Price $3 fav**
The favourite for a Group 1, but as we write this, he is still not in the race, which is concerning. A soft draw on a fast-run race, and he has been super strong in his two wins to date. He is a very strong horse, so the pace will suit him fine. He is one of 5 winning chances and is the best suited of those 5 on the map. Win confidence is 7/10, which is about as good as it gets for a Group 1 race (unless it's Protectionist or Tosen Stardom!). **Hardest to Beat:** Single Choice **Best Roughie:** Kay Jaye
**Hawkesbury Race 8 - 5:35 PM - Royal Supremacy - $26**
Our Group 1 winner resumes here, but he most likely will need a bit of racing again as he heads for a light Winter campaign into Spring again. Each-way confidence is 4/10 with such a good field. The market looks right with Taken and Vivy Air the ones to beat. **Best roughie:** Shoihisa
**Other Potential Runners but Likely to Be Scratched**
* **Hawkesbury - Race 9 - Infancy:** She is in career-best form but is to be sold next week unreserved at the Chairman's Sale. * **Eagle Farm - Race 2 - El Jasor:** Wants firm ground, so will wait. * **Eagle Farm - Race 9 - True to Form:** Wants firm ground, so will wait. * **Eagle Farm - Race 8 - Perielle:** Likely to wait until next week, where she is better suited to HCP conditions. Does love the wet, though.
Good luck to all the Connections, Jockeys, and Trainers.
